This is a Vera Wang strapless veiled mermaid gown with Chantilly lace , tulle, chiffon, subtle rushing and a dramatic silk cascading eyelash flange on the train. Zero flaws to this mermaid style strapless beauty that you may recognize from being photographed on Khloe Kardashian during one of her weddings. It cost $11,900 before taxes and I still have the original receipt. I paid $1,000 to fix any blemishes from my one night wearing it at my wedding in NYC ( some tulle on the train that drags in the back sustained holes and I had that sewn together.). The dress is a size 2 and they took it in to fit my body measurements which is listed on the receipt as: Bust 33in Waist 23in Hips 35in Hollow to Hem 59 in and my height 5.5 ft 5in, I had it professionally cleaned and packed by Madame Paulette in NYC, where it has remained in the box in my closet since I wore it in 2013. It is a work of art. I saved it in case I had a daughter but Im now a mom of 2 boys and this dress needs to be seen, not sit in a box. When I went to the Vera Wang showroom it was the FIRST dress I tried on because it was that stunning even on the hanger. I tried on 20 dresses and none came close to the way this made me feel. The detail of the corset and the tulle that overlays and then the intricacy of the mermaid bottom and train is breathtaking.
